Biodiversity / Lake Chad Basin

31 octobre 2022

Cameroon is currently part of the Regional Validation Workshop of the Lake Chad Basin Regional Action Plan for Biodiversity which is being held from October 28 to 29, 2022 in Abuja, Nigeria.

Discussions are centered on examining the draft of the Lake Chad Basin Regional Action Plan for Biodiversity which was submitted by the Lake Chad Basin Commission

Cameroon’s voice was preponderant as it’s inputs and remarks pushed the other member state countries to nominate Cameroon as part of the Technical AdHoc Committee which shall support the consultant in ameliorating the report of the action plan before any validation

The Cameroonian delegation to this Regional Workshop is led by Prof. Barthélemy NDONGO, Inspector General of MINEPDED and Focal Point of the Ramsar Convention. He is accompanied by the Representative of the Biodiversity National Focal Point, Mr PATAMAKEN ANECK Simon, and Mr NTOM NSI Denis, Director of Studies, Projects and Cooperation at MINEPDED.
