On Tuesday October 29, 2024, Dr NANA ABOUBAKAR, Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Environment, Protection of Nature and Sustainable Development in the company of his close collaborators, received in audience the Deputy Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Mr Martin HART-HANSEN accompanied by the UNDP National Economist.

Their brainstorming session had as focus the UNDP strategic plan in concertation with partner countries as well as to assess the relationship with MINEPDED in terms of environmental, priority needs and the expectations as to what the UNDP can support Cameroon through its new strategic plan for the period 2026/2029.
The MINDEL gave a number of guidelines, including the relaunch of the REPECC program, indicating the positive feedback on some areas, while there are still some areas where much needs to be done, like capacity building in Biodiversity, Gender and scientific knowledge as well alert system and early warning mechanisms.
