Aware of the impacts of climate change, Cameroon ratified the UNFCCC in 1992. To reaffirm its commitment to combating climate change, in 2015 it expressed its ambition to reduce GHG emissions by 32% by 2035. This target was revised in 2021 to be more ambitious, reaching 35% by 2030, and is broken down into unconditional (12%) and conditional (23%) targets. Transforming these climate commitments into concrete actions requires detailed planning and effective coordination. It is within this framework that the National Climate Plan (NCP) was developed, a strategic document dedicated to guiding climate policies and actions through an integrated, participatory, and multisectoral approach.
